Dilmaya Memorial Foundation (DMF) has sponsored one of the winners’ trophies for Panchthar Cup Football tournament 2017. The tournament took place at Feltham Community College ground on Saturday the 29th of April 2017, organised by Panchthar Samaj Sewa (PSS) UK, a UK-based Nepalese community originating from a far-eastern Nepalese district of Panchthar.
PSS UK has organised the tournament every year and this is the sixth tournament in a row. Organiser divides teams into three categories: Main, Veterans and Super Veterans, as per players’ age. DMF sponsored the Winners’ Trophy for the Veterans consisting the players of the age of 35 years or over.
On behalf of the foundation, Patron Mr. Ran Bahadur Tawa Limbu, husband of late Dilmaya Tawa Limbu, distributed the trophies to the winners.
The family and relatives of late Dilmaya Lingden Tawa have founded Dilmaya Memorial Foundation this year, in sweet memory of her, with the aim of improving life standard of impoverished women and children in remote areas of Nepal. It intends to work particularly in education and health sectors. The foundation was established as per late Dilmaya Limbu’s wish who devoted herself in helping others even untill her last breath. The Founder and President Khusi Limbu said that the foundation shall be operating from three countries, UK, Nepal and Hong Kong, where Dilmaya’s relatives live predominantly.
PSS UK has thanked Dilmaya Memorial Foundation for the generous sponsorship and hoped for continuous supports in the future.
